About the Role
Are you looking to grow your career in surveying and play a part in delivering Australia's key infrastructure projects? As a Survey Associate or Graduate with Aptella, you'll work alongside experienced surveyors on civil and road construction projects, gaining hands-on experience with the latest technology and developing the skills needed to become an expert in the field.

This position is open to Australian and New Zealand residents with full working rights. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform topographic, set-out, and as-built surveys on civil and road and airport projects.
- Operate and support the use of high-precision survey instruments.
- Collect, process, and check survey data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Work closely with surveyors, engineers, and site teams to provide accurate field support.
- Help prepare survey documentation—including field notes, reports, and as-built data—for compliance and project requirements.
- Follow and promote safe work practices and contribute to quality standards on site.
About You
We're looking for someone eager to build a career in surveying, with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Ideally, you'll bring:
- Registration with the Queensland board as an associate or above
- A degree or diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience.)
- 1–2 years of experience in a surveying role, preferably within civil or road projects (graduates encouraged to apply).
- Familiarity with survey software and equipment such as Total stations and GPS.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills, with a team-focused mindset.
- A commitment to safety and quality on every project.
- A valid driver's licence and flexibility to travel to different project sites.
