Role Summary

At Bec + Bridge one of our biggest commitments is to build a team of kind, considerate and empathetic people who feel happy and invigorated working for the company and our customers. As an Assistant Boutique Manager at Bec + Bridge you will be required to assist the Boutique Manager to create a collaborative and driven work environment which is committed to achieving the Bec + Bridge's retail objectives. Whilst assisting to manage the operations of the store you are required to support your team to deliver an exceptional and unique experience to our Bec + Bridge customers.

Key Competencies

Customer Experience

  • Continually develop new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships
  • Maintain an exceptional standard of customer service in line with company standards
  • Observe customer service skills on the floor and provide on the spot feedback to team members.
  • Coach and lead all team members on all aspects of delivering an exceptional customer service experience
  • Apply the unique selling process to each and every customer and ensure each team member does the same
  • Ensure the store floor is well zoned at all times
  • Treat returns as if they are a sale by providing a good, if not better memorable customer experience.
  • Contact customers with the launch of a collection and each major delivery
  • Conduct styling workshops regularly to ensure teams are skilled to provide styling in store with latest collections.

Finance and budgets

  • All reports as requested are up to date and submitted on time
  • Maintain a store budget spreadsheet and continually identify opportunities to improve performance.
  • Understand and assist with rosters that meet both the sales versus salary budgets and the requirements of the business.
  • Approve daily timesheets for staff on time for weekly payroll.
  • Manage all store expenses including garment repairs, store and wardrobe dry-cleaning and stationary orders in line with company guidelines

Delegation and Time Management

  • Assist to implement an efficient routine for the team by prioritizing  daily/weekly/monthly tasks.
  • Develop awareness of team members strengths/weaknesses to assist in the delegation of tasks

Team Motivation and Sales Success

  • Develop awareness of what drives each team member to assist in motivating each   person.
  • Understand daily/weekly/monthly budgets to ensure targets are assigned accurately.
  • Utilize and develop appropriate selling tools for assistance in maintaining targets

Stock Management

  • Assist to manage stock room and store stock volumes
  • Complete stock takes as requested by Regional Manager
  • Ensure all new deliveries are processed efficiently.
  • Understand the B+B Visual merchandising guidelines to ensure store standards are kept up to standard and create positive sales.
  • Ensure all stock exits  and stock moves are done in a timely manner and accurately.

Administration

  • All reports as requested are up to date and submitted on time
  • All timesheets are approved on time
  • Ensure all cash handling procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Ensures all equipment is in sound working order
  • Ensures that all staff are fully compliant with all procedures at all times

Other Duties

  • Any task deemed necessary by Management
