Your New Opportunity
We are looking for a Junior Estimator, based out of our Kelvin Grove office, to support our sales team across South East Queensland. You may someone looking to get 'off the tools' or interested in entering the commercial painting industry. Reporting to the senior Estimating Manager, your key responsibilities include:
· Work closely with the sales team to understand a scope of works and specifications
· Undertake on-site assessments, quantifying surface areas to be painted and determine the most effective and safest access methods
· Ensure all relevant information including quantities, materials and access equipment costs are entered correctly into the Higgins Estimating System.
· Prepare quotes and tender submissions for review in relevant timeframe.
What do you need to succeed in this role?
· Willingness to learn
· Ideally you have experience in the painting trade, but this is not essential, as we will train you
· High level of general maths, thinking and spatial skills
· Attention to detail and accuracy
· Medium proficiency level in Microsoft Office Excel and Word
· Able to drive to project sites all over South East Queensland, including several days a week in the Gold Coast region
