About Your New Role as a Project Manager

  • Actively participate in Business Development as need arises with Senior Management Team.
  • Develop relationship and assist with new business pipeline building.
  • Actively work and assist BD and Senior Management Team in Tender writing.
  • Liaise with Clients on any operational issues that they feel need to escalate.
  • Ensure and follow on any urgent cargo movement for VIP clients.
  • Provide solutions for urgent cargo where necessary.
  • Work with client to provide cost estimates and solutions for OOG cargo movement or any future projects.
  • Proactively monitor movement of urgent cargo and report to the clients of the same.
  • Ensure that freight is moved in timely manner both domestically and internationally.
  • Assist, guide and educate operators on the best and most efficient way of moving the cargo.
  • Assist and guide staff in liaising with overseas offices.
  • Handle and resolve any complaints both external and internal.
  • Management of team members, e.g., annual/sick leave, Performance planning & KPI setting, etc.
  • Ensure that jobs are adequately looked after during staff's absence and if need be assist where possible.
  • Maintain reports and attend meeting when and where required.

What you will need to succeed

  • Diploma or First Degree, or relevant experience
  • 10+ years International Logistics experience
  • Project Manager experience
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Complete understanding of company values
  • English spoken and written – CEFR Level 5
  • IT – Intermediate Word, Excel and Outlook
  • CargoWise experience would be desirable
  • Ability to represent the Company at all levels and to build strong client and customer relationships
  • Creativity and Innovation
  • Commitment and Passion
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Physically capable of national / international travel and safely accessing operating / construction sites.
