Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Director level candidate for our Ports & Marines to join our team in Perth, Australia. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovation and excellence in marine infrastructure projects across the region.

How you'll make a difference:

  • Lead and deliver large-scale, technically complex structural engineering projects for ports and marine infrastructure, with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and client satisfaction.
  • Provide strategic technical direction and leadership across project lifecycles, mentoring engineers at all levels to support capability development and succession planning.
  • Ensure rigorous compliance with local and international maritime codes and standards, while proactively managing risk and safety considerations.
  • Build and sustain strong client and stakeholder relationships, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, high-impact engineering solutions.
  • Champion innovation in structural design, drive continuous improvement in quality assurance processes, and represent the company as a thought leader through industry publications, conference presentations, and professional forums.

Qualifications

The qualities that help you thrive:

  • Extensive experience (ideally more than 15 years) in structural engineering, with significant experience in ports and marine projects, adhering to ANZ standards. 
  • Recognised qualification (Bachelor of Engineering Technology or Similar) with a track record in delivering major Ports and Marine projects. 
  • Proven project management and extensive design experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority. 
  • Track record of technical expertise delivering Ports and Marine projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices, particularly in marine environments.
