Your New Role: HSEQ Systems Manager
As the Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Systems Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our accredited safety, environmental, and quality management systems. You will ensure compliance with statutory obligations and industry standards, while championing WTC's commitment to a safe and healthy work environment for employees, contractors, visitors, and the community. Your work will drive the achievement of business objectives through the continual improvement of health, environment, quality, and safety systems.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance the Integrated Management System (IMS) in strategic partnership with the leadership team.
- Manage the IMS, aligning it with industry standards, client needs, and maintaining certification.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and HSEQ standards, overseeing internal and external compliance audits and implementing corrective actions.
- Foster a positive safety culture, minimise and manage environmental impact, and increase quality deliverables across company operations.
- Collaborate on safety education and training initiatives to promote employee engagement and awareness of HSEQ principles.
- Oversee investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Oversee the management of injury and rehabilitation programs, ensuring effective return-to-work processes to achieve the best outcome for both employees and the company.
To Excel in this Role, You'll Need:
- Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience with a willingness to work towards a Diploma level.
- Demonstrate experience and familiarity with TfNSW standards and requirements.
- Proficient knowledge of relevant WHS, Environmental, and Workers Compensation legislation and regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and effective information presentation.
- Previous experience in developing and implementing management systems (Health and Safety, Environment, and Quality).
- Hands-on experience in workplace accident/incident investigation.
- Moderate to advanced computer skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate work.
- A consultative approach and dedication to a team-based work environment.
- Ability to communicate and present information to employees in a respectful manner, while actively listening and incorporating feedback.
