About the role

Mavlab, a leading pet care pharmaceutical manufacturer, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Logan Central, Queensland. This full-time or part-time role offers a fantastic lifestyle opportunity with a 4-day work week option. As a valued member of our organisation, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation as we continue to grow and embed now machines and equipment to our growing portfolio to complement the existing portfolio of established machines and equipment.

What you'll be doing

  • Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to minimise downtime
  • Carry out preventative maintenance activities to prolong the lifespan of equipment
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report on equipment performance
  • Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to all health and safety protocols

What we're looking for

  • Formal Trade Qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing maintenance role
  • Experience working within a sterile / clean room environment
  • Experience working to GMP and APVMA standards
  • Strong knowledge of mix plant manufacturing facilities
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations
