Our experienced team of outcome-focused and friendly accountants offer clients a wide range of expertise in business consultancy, accountancy and taxation, financial planning and investment, wealth creation and Self-Managed Super Funds.

Port Lincoln is located on the Eyre Peninsula, with only a 40 minute plane flight to South Australia's capital city of Adelaide.  Port Lincoln has a city population of 14,000 people with more than an additional 6,000 people living in the surrounding areas.

Port Lincoln is famous for its aquaculture and farming industries.  The city is well serviced with three medical clinics, a large hospital and a variety of allied health services.  There are many quality private public and private schooling options for children and a range of employment opportunities in numerous industries.  Port Lincoln and the surrounding area offers great opportunities to be involved in large variety of sports, clubs and social events.

Hazeal Newman and Associates accountancy and tax services include taxation advice, bookkeeping, preparation of tax returns (from simple to the very complex), BAS, GST, financial statement preparation, fringe benefit tax, Self Managed Super Funds, Superannuation advice and support.

Business Consultancy support includes business advisory services, budgeting, cash flow, succession planning and estate planning, and business set-up and structuring.

The Accountant will be assisting clients in the areas of taxation and business consultancy services.

This role includes:


• Preparation of financial statements for small businesses


• Preparation of income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies


• Preparation and lodgment of BAS


• Reconciliation of accounts


• Processing clients single touch payroll and superannuation


• Face to face meetings with clients


• Setting up/Establishing partnerships, trust and companies


• Working with support from a Director

The successful candidate must have:


• Minimum of three years experience working in a public practice


• Previous experience and proficiency using computer software packages and portals via Microsoft, Xero, ATO and other accounting software


• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team


• Experience in mentoring junior staff


• High level of written and verbal communication skills


• Sound knowledge of income tax and GST


• Ability to work autonomously and part of a team


• High level of attention to detail
