As the Director Staff Engagement and Cultural Transformation, you will lead the design and delivery of comprehensive cultural transformation strategy and resulting program for Townsville Hospital and Health Services. Driving impactful cultural change projects and fostering alignment across existing initiatives.

This role ensures a holistic approach to cultural change across Townsville Hospital and Health Services, encompassing people, processes, systems, and policy development to embed transformative practices in all aspects of the organisation. By addressing organisational culture in its entirety—language framing, systems, interactions, mindsets and values—this position champions sustainable cultural evolution to enhance the hospital and health service's environment.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Executive Director of People & Culture, this role offers the opportunity to lead a transformative cultural agenda across the organisation.

Specifically, you will have responsibility for:

  • Designing and delivering a comprehensive cultural transformation strategy that aligns with the organisation's vision and values.
  • Leading culture and engagement programs that foster trust, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Providing expert advice to executives and senior leaders on engagement trends and workforce sentiment.
  • Driving initiatives that strengthen inclusion, recognition, and employee experience across the organisation.
  • Building strong partnerships across departments to embed a values-driven and future-focused culture.

About You

We are seeking a cultural transformation champion with:

  • Proven ability to design and implement cultural change strategies in large, complex organisations
  • Experience in leading staff engagement strategies that drive measurable improvements in morale and performance
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders
  • Exceptional relationship management skills, capable of inspiring change and motivating diverse stakeholders
  • Expertise in managing complex programmes and projects with a focus on strategic objectives
  • Alignment with the organisation's cultural aspirations and experience with Human Synergistics frameworks
  • Tertiary qualification in organisational development, human resource management, or related field is highly desirable
  • Advanced studies in leadership or change management would be highly valued
