About the role

We are seeking a Senior or Principal level Transport Planner to join our Transport Planning and Advisory team in QLD to work on a range of exciting projects in Brisbane, across Australia and occasionally internationally. You will be responsible for leading transport planning projects that create a lasting positive impact on communities.

Day to day tasks would involve:

  • Deliver a variety of transport planning projects for all modes that could include transport plans, strategies, feasibility studies, options analysis, and business cases.
  • Preparation of winning proposals, management of projects, project stakeholders and clients
  • Preparation of clear and concise reports and presentations for clients and senior leadership.
  • Undertake research, data analysis and modelling to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Mentor junior planners and contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

To be successful for this role you'll need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Town or Urban Planning or a related discipline
  • Minimum 6 yrs of previous transport planning experience (preferably in either a consultancy environment or a client organisation)
  • Ability to engage effectively, be hands-on and driven to deliver
  • Ability to describe complex transport issues in an easy to understand and presentable manner
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to deliver on tight timelines across multiple projects
