Site Construction Officer
Location: Sydney / Project Site
Reporting to: Project Manager
Position Overview
This role is primarily responsible for assisting the Project Manager with day-to-day on-site construction management, including progress tracking, quality and safety inspections, subcontractor coordination, and management of site documentation. The position requires strong execution capabilities on site to ensure the project progresses according to schedule, while supporting the developer with supervision, recording, and communication of construction activities.
Key Responsibilities1. Construction Progress Tracking
- Assist in monitoring on-site construction progress and reporting key milestones to the Project Manager.
- Facilitate the construction team to follow the planned schedule and communicate relevant on-site matters promptly.
- Coordinate all on-site stakeholders to ensure accurate and smooth information flow.
2. Quality & Safety Inspection
- Assist in implementing the developer's quality inspection standards.
- Identify and document non-conformities and follow up on rectification.
- Assist in ensuring that the site meets basic safety and compliance requirements.
3. Subcontractor Coordination
- Assist with on-site communication with various subcontractors such as electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, tilers, etc.
- Follow up on construction sequencing to avoid workflow conflicts.
- Help resolve minor issues encountered by subcontractors on site.
- Assist in confirming the delivery status of materials and equipment.
4. Site Information & Document Management
- Assist in organizing site documents, drawings, reports, and related records.
- Provide timely site updates to the office team and Project Manager.
- Support meeting minutes, defect list compilation, and project document management.
5. Project Support
- Assist in material arrival confirmation and basic supplier communication.
- Assist with site coordination and follow-up tasks assigned by the Project Manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $105,780.98 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in North Sydney NSW 2060
