The Mercure Canberra Belconnen is currently recruiting for a guest service superstar who is a true HEARTIST and will use their reception/front desk experience to support the hotel's guest experience..

You will be the face of the hotel and a part of the first impression, welcoming and farewelling our guests ensuring they enjoy their stay.

As a franchise of Accor Hotels, The Mercure Canberra Belconnen is a vibrant hotel in the Belconnen CBD featuring 125 rooms. The Mercure Canberra Belconnen boasts a fully equipped gymnasium, guest lounge, a fantastic new conference and events centre including a sleek top floor cocktail bar, and dedicated car parking for hotel guests.

About You:

As a Guest Services Agent  you will be the first point of contact for our guests to assist them during their stay, whilst delivering the highest level of customer service.

Duties:

  • Commitment to working rotating shifts of mornings and evenings
  • Engage with our guests on check in, check out and during their stay
  • Recording information to ensure our guests have a seamless guest journey
  • Maximise room sales and conversion of enquiries through pro-active sales activity
  • Ability to assist in the F & B team for breakfast or events shifts when required (we just love people who are dynamic and multiskilled)
  • Engage, engage, engage with our guests

Success Factors:

  • A true desire to work, grow and develop in the Guest Facing Operations of a 4 Star property
  • Experience in a similar role, that you can bring to our dynamic team
  • Knowledge of OPERA is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with all hotel departments
  • Friendly, outgoing personality and an exceptional standard of personal presentation
  • Availability to work over a 7-day rotating roster that includes mornings, evenings and weekends
