About The Role:
AAPE are currently seeking a motivated Electrical Draftsperson to join our Sydney based team. We are looking for a Electrical Draftsperson to join our team and contribute to the design and development of high-quality distribution/level 3 designs. In this role, you will work closely with our Electrical Engineering Team, assisting with drafting, technical documentation and project coordination. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to develop their skills in electrical drafting and engineering with a specialised industry, or alternatively continue their career progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare/draft Level 3 electrical distribution designs.
- Produce detailed autoCAD electrical drawings, schematics and layouts, inclusive of incorporating architectural plans into designs.
- Develop design submission packages for authority approvals.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and management teams, explaining designs and making necessary adjustments.
- Interpret specifications, project design briefs and authority network standards.
- Occasionally visit sites to verify dimensions, collect site‑data, check existing installations.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualifications:
At least 1 years experience Electrical Draftsperson or relevant industry experience in Level 3 design. Applicants of all experience will be considering (Junior to Senior). - Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong Word and Excel applications.
- Basic electrical knowledge or electrical background.
- Strong communication skills – must be able to clearly articulate technical viewpoints, especially when liaising with engineers.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks under high pressure.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and work well within a team environment. The successful applicant will be expected to manage small design projects and support our senior and project engineers on a number of projects at different stages of completion.
- The applicant must be able to work on site in Hurstville & have a valid NSW drivers license
- Junior Electrical Engineers will also be considered.
