To develop, organise and deliver training programs to support workers while promoting health and wellbeing and ensuring high quality care is delivered

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced clinical trainer to support our training team in the delivery of high-quality training to enable our support workers to provide services to participants.

What you'll do:

  • Facilitate workplace clinical skill assessments training sessions for workers to support participants with high intensity needs
  • Liaise with Training coordinator and team for the organisation of training across multiple services
  • Contribute to the development of new training packages and maintain existing training packages and resources
  • Monitor medication incidents and work in conjunction with team leaders to provide remedial training
  • Role model safe work practices and adhere to WHS policy and procedure
  • Raise concerns about the quality of care or service concerning healthcare to Management
  • Report all risks, hazards, incidents, near misses and accidents as per the correct procedure
  • Comply with code of conduct and commit to the NDIS practice standards under the Quality and Safeguarding Framework
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information in accordance with Identitywa policy and procedure

What you'll bring to the team:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and or Nurses Board of WA.
  • Qualifications and/or previous experience in teaching or training with understanding of adult education and learning principles
  • Minimum three years' full time experience work as a registered nurse
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise with people at all levels
  • Ability to communicate information clearly and accurately, including presentations to small groups
  • Well-developed computer literacy skills in Microsoft programs
