Senior Electrical Project Manager

We are seeking a highly accomplished and results-driven Senior Electrical Project Manager to assume a pivotal role within our business. This position requires a proven leader capable of mastering the complexities of multi-project management and providing critical delivery leadership across our diverse portfolio, which includes significant commercial projects and high-end residential builds across Victoria/Melbourne.

This role is ready to step into now. We have multiple projects currently coming out of the ground and established site teams. We require an experienced industry leader who possesses the foresight to identify pitfalls before they happen and understands that success is achieved through the right balance of strategic planning, people management, and flawless on-the-ground execution.

Key Accountabilities: Management, Estimating & Delivery

The successful candidate will take full command of project execution, profitability, and securing new work.

• Project Portfolio Leadership: Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent commercial and high-end residential projects across Melbourne/Victoria, ensuring stringent adherence to safety and quality.
• Time and Budget Delivery: Take full ownership of schedules, variations, and progress claims to ensure projects are consistently delivered on time and on budget.
• Estimating & Cost Control: Serve as a key resource in securing profitable work. This includes working with the electrical estimating team to close submissions and meeting with builders to win the projects. You must have project budget and value management experience.
• Strategic Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact, liaising with clients and stakeholders at a boardroom level while focusing on building strong, long-term relationships.
• Team & Site Management: Guide and motivate field teams, setting clear expectations and mentoring less experienced staff. You must be prepared to get involved hands-on when deadlines or site conditions demand it.
• Coordination & Risk Mitigation: Coordinate all aspects of project delivery, including design input, procurement, scheduling, and site operations. Identify and proactively resolve project risks early.

Required Skills & Experience

We are searching for a senior professional with an extensive track record of success:

• Experience Threshold: A minimum of 5+ years in an Electrical Project Manager role (extensive industry experience is highly regarded).
• Leadership Background: Prior experience as a Director, business owner, or in a senior leadership position is highly desirable.
• Technical Authority: Strong technical grounding in commercial electrical installations, maintenance, and compliance.
• Commercial Acumen: Essential experience in electrical estimating and project budget/value management.
• Organizational Mastery: Highly organized, methodical, and confident in managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
• Interpersonal Excellence: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and entertain clients.
• Licensing & Compliance: Current Victorian Driver's Licence is mandatory.
