Visiting Medical Officer in Ophthalmology
John Hunter Hospital (Commencing 1 January
John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, NSW is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the role of Visiting Medical Officer in Ophthalmology. The appointed specialist will provide comprehensive general/specialist ophthalmology services to patients within the Hunter New England Local Health District.
Essential Criteria:
- Hold a primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology and/or overseas trained specialist pathways
- Provide management of elective and emergency patients for ophthalmology at John Hunter Hospital, Kurri Kurri District Hospital, Belmont District Hospital and other facilities as needed
- Participate in on call schedules as determined by departmental needs
- Provide support and training to clinicians across multiple disciples to achieve quality education and safe practice
