Ivory Pavilion is seeking a confident, experienced, and hands-on Assistant Venue Manager to support the smooth operation of our venue across weddings, corporate functions, and private celebrations.

About the Role

Working closely with and reporting directly to the Venue Manager, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring events run seamlessly from setup to close. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in exceptional presentation standards, and loves creating unforgettable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Venue Manager in day-to-day venue operations
  • Lead and motivate staff during events to deliver premium service
  • Oversee venue setup, reset, and close-down procedures
  • Manage staff rosters and ensure adequate coverage for events
  • Assist with stock management, supplier coordination, and budgeting
  • Contribute to staff development and uphold training standards
  • Maintain compliance with RSA, health & safety, and venue policies
  • Liaise with clients and suppliers to ensure all event details are executed perfectly

About You

You're a natural leader with excellent attention to detail, confident decision-making skills, and a passion for events and hospitality.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years management experience, ideally in an events or hospitality environment
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Experience with budgeting, rostering, and stock management
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with flexibility for event scheduling
  • Current RSA certification
