The lyf Elizabeth Melbourne, managed by The Ascott Limited,now seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join as Food & Beverage Manager.  This role will report to the lyf Champion and work closely with other departments. lyf Elizabeth Melbourne is set to open its doors in late November 2025.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing daily operations of the Food & Beverage department, ensuring consistent delivery of high service standards, guest satisfaction, and smooth coordination across all service points.
• Managing team performance through recruitment, training, and development, fostering a culture of accountability, motivation, and continuous improvement in line with The Ascott Limited's values.
• Developing and optimizing menus, procurement strategies, and cost controls to maximize profitability while maintaining product quality and alignment with market trends.
• Ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, implementing EHSMS policies, and promoting sustainable and safe practices across all F&B operations.
• Monitoring financial performance, guest feedback, and operational KPIs, taking proactive measures to improve productivity, address customer concerns, and drive service excellence.

To be successful in this role you must have:

• Extensive experience in managing food and beverage operations within a hotel or hospitality environment, with strong knowledge of service delivery and financial performance optimization.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, coach, and lead diverse teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance, environmental management systems (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001), and food safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with guests, clients, and team members while handling feedback and conflict professionally.
• Strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to identify operational inefficiencies, implement improvements, and align F&B strategies with broader business goals.
