The Floor Supervisor ensures the smooth daily operation of the café/restaurant, leading the team on shift, maintaining service standards, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. They act as the first point of contact for staff and assist the Manager/Owner in coordinating staff, resolving issues, and overseeing floor service.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support front-of-house staff during service.
• Lead pre-shift briefings to set standards, menu updates, and service goals.
• Monitor customer experience, respond to complaints, and resolve issues quickly.
• Manage table allocations, waitlists, and seating for maximum efficiency.
• Train and mentor new staff, ensuring service consistency.
• Oversee cash handling and POS transactions (if applicable).
• Ensure opening/closing procedures are completed to standard.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant service area (including WHS and food safety).
• Communicate with kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow.
• Step into a hands-on service role (taking orders, running food/drinks, etc.) when required.

• Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.

Experience:

• Hospitality: 1 year (Required)
• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
