Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation & Quality Control: You will inspect and select ingredients, ensuring all foodstuffs meet high-quality standards before cooking.
  • Cooking & Operations: You'll be skilled in operating and regulating the temperatures of a variety of kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, and stovetops, to ensure food is cooked perfectly.
  • Plating & Presentation: You will portion meals, artfully arrange food on plates, and apply final touches such as garnishes, sauces, and gravies to enhance both flavor and visual appeal.
  • Dietary Needs: You must be proficient in preparing meals that adhere to specific dietary requirements and restrictions.
  • Food Safety & Storage: Maintaining food safety is a priority. You'll be responsible for properly storing food in temperature-controlled facilities to prevent spoilage and contamination.
  • Additional Duties: This role may also include planning menus, estimating food and ingredient needs, and mentoring junior kitchen staff and apprentices.

  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in all aspects of food preparation, from knife skills to advanced cooking methods.
