The Opportunity
We're looking for a skilled and forward-thinking
Data Engineer
to lead and evolve our data platform — integrating, transforming, and delivering insights from SAP into Azure Data Lake and Microsoft Fabric.

This is a hands-on role where you'll manage data pipelines, optimise ETL/ELT processes, and enable the business to unlock powerful, AI-driven insights through Power BI. You'll be at the centre of King Living's data ecosystem, ensuring our business decisions are supported by accurate, scalable, and

intelligent analytics.

The Role

  • Operate and enhance King Living's Azure Data Lake ingestion process from SAP.
  • Manage and optimise data pipelines across bronze, silver, and gold layers.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot ETL/ELT processes to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Maintain data quality, lineage, and governance across all layers of the platform.
  • Design and develop Power BI dashboards and visualisations to deliver actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to design effective BI models, reports, and data structures.
  • Leverage AI features in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI to deliver predictive and automated insights.
  • Continuously evolve the data platform to support scalability, performance, and modern data practices.

About You

  • Proven experience in data engineering with Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, or Fabric.
  • Strong background in ETL/ELT pipelines, data modelling, and performance optimisation.
  • Experience working with SAP data structures or integration tools.
  • Proficient in SQL and scripting languages.
  • Skilled in building and publishing Power BI datasets and reports.
  • Understanding of Power BI governance, workspace management, and deployment best practices.
  • Familiarity with AI capabilities in Fabric/Power BI (e.g., Copilot, predictive analytics).
  • Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD and version control (GitHub or Azure DevOps).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business teams.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to SAP HANA or other ERP systems.
  • Experience with AI/ML models in practical business contexts.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
