This position has been created as part of the recently implemented KU Children's Services Teachers Enterprise Agreement 2025, a landmark development that continues to set new standards within the early childhood education sector. The Hours and Service:

KU Berowra Preschool has been a cherished part of the Berowra community for over 50 years, offering high-quality early childhood education for children aged 3 to 5. Nestled in a leafy park setting on Sydney's Upper North Shore, the preschool provides a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where childhood is celebrated and each child's unique potential is supported.

Our play-based program is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and enriched with cultural connections, environmental sustainability, and creative arts. Children engage in a wide variety of activities including gardening, music and movement, block building, sand and water play, science experiments, and early literacy and numeracy experiences. These opportunities foster curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Led by a team of passionate and qualified educators, KU Berowra is proud of its longstanding reputation for building strong relationships with children and families. The centre continues to thrive as a not-for-profit service committed to excellence in early education

This opportunity will see you join the team 4 hours on a Friday on a permanent basis. There is flexibility on the start time of this position as it is providing coverage for additional Educational Leader time.

Of course, you will need:

• Relevant experience
• An ACCEQA recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree,
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates and approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates
• Completed training in Child Protection legislation
• Current Working with Children Check
• Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
