About the role

Victoria University SC is seeking a passionate and experienced Food Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative food technology lessons to our secondary school students. The position is based in our Deer Park, VIC campus.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and deliver innovative food technology curriculum to students in years 7-12
  • Manage classrooms and students effectively to foster a positive and productive learning environment
  • Assess and provide feedback on student work to support their academic progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve teaching practices and resources
  • Participate in school events, professional development, and other duties as required

What we're looking for

Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.

  • Tertiary qualification in Education or a related discipline
  • Experience teaching food technology in a secondary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian curriculum and food technology standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students
  • Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
