We are looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team in Ipswich. Reporting to the Accounts Team Leader, this role will play a key part in supporting smooth financial operations across the Group's diverse divisions.

What You'll Be Doing

· Managing day-to-day accounts payable processing - verifying invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and maintaining supplier records.

· Maintain and update vendor records, including contact information and payment terms.

· Perform regular supplier account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

· Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

· Resolve any invoice discrepancies or issues with vendors or suppliers.

· Assist in the preparation of financial reports and month-end closing processes.

· Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements related to accounts payable.

  • Assisting with accounts receivable transactions, including raising and matching claim invoices.
  • Providing finance administration support such as intercompany transactions, reporting, and process improvements.
  • Liaising with internal teams, trades, and suppliers to resolve queries quickly and professionally.
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc duties as required

About You

You're organised, detail-oriented, and love getting the numbers right. You enjoy working in a team environment but can also take ownership of your own tasks. Ideally, you bring:

· Proven experience in Accounts Payable (Building/Manufacturing industry experience highly regarded) 3+ years

· Solid understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.

· Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Odoo (or similar finance systems).

· A collaborative approach and a desire to continuously improve processes.

· Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Good problem-solving skills and ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
