St Jude's Randwick
Location: Randwick, NSW
Location type: On-Site
Date advertised: 1st October 2025
Job Type: Full time
Closing Date: 14th November 2025
St Jude's is an enthusiastic, smaller congregation which is blessed to meet in a beautiful church on large, leafy grounds in Randwick.
We are seeking an Assistant Minister to oversee both women's and children's ministry, commencing early 2026. The aim of this role is to see women and children turn to Jesus Christ and grow in his grace. You will be working amongst people from our morning and afternoon congregations, as well as those you meet through our Playgroup and Early Learning Centre and through SRE in Randwick Public School.
Initially it is expected that you would take over running the structures we have in place:
- Leadership of Kids' Church at our 4 pm service
- Teaching SRE (and SRE Co-ordinator at Randwick Public School)
- Upfront role at our morning communion services in prayer and service leading
- Two women's Bible study groups each meeting weekly
- Running occasional women's events
- Helping with our Playgroup
- Pastoral care and visiting of older women in the congregation
It is expected that structures might change from time to time with the aims of your role in mind.
This role will suit someone who is happy to work in a smaller church where reaching out to the community with initiative and warmth is paramount, and where ministry structures might change to meet new opportunities.
Above all we are seeking someone who loves the Lord Jesus Christ and wants to see others come to know him and be growing in his grace. You must be a disciple who nurtures your faith through Bible reading and prayer, and who has a passion to see people of all ages share this same faith.
There is some flexibility to structure this role as 4, 5 or 6 days per week. Remuneration will be in accordance with the Sydney Anglican remuneration guidelines.
Applications close on Friday 14th November.
We are praying for God to send us the person we need to help our congregation to grow in love and obedience to Jesus.
Please send your application and CV to the Senior Minister, Rev. Andrew Schmidt:
