Inviting applications for the role of Marketing Data Scientist
This role is instrumental in advancing data-driven marketing capabilities through the development and application of advanced analytics, predictive models, and statistical techniques. By uncovering deeper insights and future trends from complex customer, campaign, and business data, this role enables client to deliver more personalised, effective, and measurable marketing strategies across business units.
Working closely with marketing managers, product teams, and senior stakeholders, the Marketing Data Scientist translates business questions into analytical solutions, providing robust evidence to inform and optimise marketing investment, targeting, and strategy. The role also brings innovation to the marketing analytics function, introducing new methodologies and automation to drive continuous improvement and competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
Develop and deploy advanced statistical and machine learning models to support marketing personalisation, customer segmentation, propensity modelling, and campaign optimisation
Conduct deep-dive analytics on customer journeys, campaign performance, and lifecycle marketing to uncover actionable insights and inform marketing strategy
Leverage large and complex datasets from multiple sources (digital, CRM, product, customer interactions) to build predictive and prescriptive models that drive business outcomes
Partner with marketing, product, and technology teams to identify opportunities for data science applications and translate business problems into analytical solutions
Communicate complex analytical findings and model outputs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, using data storytelling to drive understanding and action
Contribute to the standardisation and automation of marketing analytics processes , identifying and implementing scalable solutions
Stay abreast of industry developments and emerging technologies to ensure marketing analytics remains best-in-class
Ensure all analytics activities comply with data privacy, security, and governance standards
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications
Relevant years of experience in a data science, advanced analytics, or similar role, with demonstrable impact in marketing, customer, or commercial domains
Tertiary qualifications in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, data science, or a related discipline
Proven expertise in developing, validating, and deploying machine learning and statistical models using Python, R, or similar tools
Hands-on experience with data wrangling, feature engineering, and working with large, complex, and unstructured datasets
Proficiency in data visualisation and storytelling, with experience in tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
Strong understanding of marketing concepts, customer segmentation, lifecycle marketing, and campaign optimisation
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
•Advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and execute complex analyses and models
•Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts, methodologies, and results to non-technical stakeholders
•Proven stakeholder management skills, with experience working closely with marketing and business teams
•High attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to data quality
•Ability to work independently as required, and to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, agile environment
•Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
•Demonstrated learning agility, staying up to date with new tools, techniques, and industry best practices
•Proactive mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and driving business value through data science
