Your new role

The Export Sea Freight Operator is responsible for managing the end-to-end coordination of sea freight export shipments across a dedicated portfolio of clients.

  • Manage LCL and FCL export shipments across a dedicated client portfolio, ensuring operational excellence and service reliability.
  • Receive and process client orders from booking to arrival at destination.
  • Coordinate with shipping lines and transport, ensuring equipment availability with carriers, bookings with co-loaders, and transport providers.
  • Liaise with the CFS and ensure accurate load planning where applicable.
  • Prepare and submit all required export documentation, including EDNs, CRNs, hazardous declarations, shipping instructions, and customs formalities within required timeframes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external documentation teams to ensure timely issuance of forwarding instructions, bills of lading, and invoices.
  • Provide proactive shipment updates and pre-alerts to clients and overseas agents.
  • Enter supplier cost estimates promptly and verify vendor charges against rate agreements.
  • Monitor container movements and bookings to ensure all shipments proceed as scheduled.

To be successful in this role

  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Logistics Operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Senior Export Operations experience
  • Positive and Professional attitude
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
  • High attention to detail and strong planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work autonomously and within team environment
