What you'll be doing

In this role you'll be supporting patient care and hospital operations by providing essential transport and assistance services across departments.

  • Transporting patients and equipment safely
  • Assisting with patient movement and comfort
  • Supporting mortuary tasks with dignity
  • Collaborating with staff for smooth workflow
  • Operating equipment safely and responsibly

Selection Criteria:

  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, visitors, staff and managers.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety, Manual Handling and Infection control principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse and physically challenging position/workload.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to read and write in English.
  • Ability to use electronic devices as part of the Orderly Department's tasking system.
  • Ability to complete tasks either in a team environment or unsupervised all within a measurable timeframe.
