Role:

RJE Global are seeking the services of a surveyor to perform the survey scope for construction project works in the wind, power generation, utility & resource industries for an established Engineering & Construction Company.

Applicant must be prepared to travel to interstate project sites as required. Travel, accommodation, and meals will be supplied when working away from home.

Some of the current projects include Mortlake BESS in VIC, New England BESS in NSW, Summerfield BESS in SA, Warradarge Wind Farm in WA and King Rocks Wind Farm in WA.

Reporting to the Senior Surveyor you will be responsible for supporting project teams with their survey requirements. We are seeking a surveyor to work on surveys that include the following:

• Underground power trench & cable survey set out & as built on existing and new installations
• Overhead power cable survey set out & as built on existing and new installations
• Concrete foundations and associated equipment set out & as built on existing and new installations

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the design is current and validated
• Providing accurate plans, measurements, calculations and reports to support engineering and construction teams
• Collating and overseeing all survey data from the project
• Ensuring all works meet relevant specs and tolerances
• Liaising with the construction team to be informed of upcoming requirements
• Performing QA/Control checks to ensure high-quality standards get upheld

Required:

• Hold relevant qualifications in either Survey, Spatial science and/or geometrics
• Minimum two years' experience
• Unrestricted drivers licence
• Construction Industry White Card
• Must be able to pass a medical examination, random drug and alcohol tests

Advantageous:

• Demonstrate experience in construction projects, civil & concrete survey set out
• Demonstrate experience with Total Stations, GPS Equipment and Machine guidance technology – Topcon / Leica / Trimble Equipment to measure angles, distances and elevation
• Understand commercial & technical documents in an engineering field
• Demonstrate experience in the proficient use of survey and design software Magnet / Auto Cad /12D
• Ability to use initiative and have good organisational skills
• Ability to work towards tight project schedules
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Work methodically, accurately and neatly
• Good oral and written communication skills
