Junior Estimator

We're currently seeking a Junior Estimator to join our team based in Mount Waverley, VIC. This role is essential to the successful operation of our plastering business, providing accurate cost estimates for construction projects while also supporting the team with general administrative duties.
What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and subcontractor expenses
- Review project drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure precise estimating
- Collaborate with project managers and key stakeholders to refine estimates and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain and update the company's cost databases and estimating tools
- Provide administrative support, including managing customer inquiries, processing invoices, and record keeping
- Assist with general office duties as required
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and team members
- Well-developed organisational skills and administrative capabilities
