Associates in Vena Energy's Investment team will evaluate and execute investment opportunities for Vena Energy in the renewable sector across Asia-Pacific. As an Associate you will be responsible for conducting due diligence and project research and modeling the forecasted financial performance of prospective investments. Associates will be involved in due diligence, building and reviewing in-depth proprietary financial models, modeling the arrangement of debt financing and supporting negotiation of commercial and legal contracts. Associates will have continued involvement with Vena Energy's projects during and following the investment and assisting with the execution of on-going financing transactions and monitoring investment performance in general.
You will be a member of a global team and occasionally be staffed on projects in other countries across the Asia-Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and manage extensive financial models to evaluate investment opportunities (greenfield and M&A) to support deal underwriting and structuring efforts.
Conduct due diligence on investment opportunities (greenfield and M&A), prepare and present qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Contribute to project financing processes, including communication with lenders, management of external DD advisors, leading of sub-workstreams, terms negotiation, etc.
Assist in business development activities with minimal supervision such as offtake tendering, project agreement negotiation, market research, etc.
Assist in the ongoing management and performance monitoring of Vena Energy operational projects.
Coach and guide junior members (analysts, interns) during transaction processes.
Pre Requisites:
Bachelor's degree and strong GPA from a leading college or university
Minimum 3 years of experience
Strong financial modelling skills, including building and maintaining forecasting models
Intermediate to advanced abilities in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving skills with a strong understanding of financial concepts
Strong report writing skills
Strong understanding of financial concepts
Possess a passion for renewable energy sector
Able to multi-task and focus on delivering results
Communication skills and ability to work across a diverse skilled organisation.
Ability to work independently and in teams
