National Practice Lead – Housing

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our National segment as the National Practice Lead – Housing. In this pivotal role, you will shape and execute the strategic direction of Aon's Housing Practice across Australia, driving growth, innovation, and best-in-class client solutions in the community housing sector.

What the day will look like

  • Lead Aon's housing (Community Housing) solution nationally
  • Manage and nurture key client relationships locally and regionally
  • Provide thought leadership and act as a driving voice for the sector
  • Facilitate connectivity and share national insights across the Aon network
  • Strategically review existing client portfolios to identify new solution opportunities
  • Manage your own portfolio of housing clients
  • Collaborate with the Placement team to support carrier management within the sector
  • Promote consistency in service delivery and placement structures for housing clients nationwide
  • Explore and implement innovative placement strategies to ensure Aon's continued success in the sector

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Extensive client management experience within the insurance broking industry
  • Experience with a variety of insurance placement structures (including non-traditional, e.g., discretionary funds, excess of loss) is beneficial
  • Strategic approach to client interaction with the ability to identify solution opportunities
  • Strong influencing skills among peers, clients, and the broader industry
  • Tier 1 insurance broking qualification is essential
  • Experience with Community Housing clients and placements is a plus
