At ARH Greater Western Sydney, you can have all this and more

We are on the lookout for a Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist to design and build your own service. In return, we are ready to offer an unparalleled working environment and benefits that meet your professional and personal needs.

Let's talk about how we can make this dream role a reality

Job Description

Your New Workplace

The Animal Referral Hospital at Greater Western Sydney is our fifth Specialist and Emergency Hospital that opened in September 2023.

You will be working in a brand-new purpose-built Veterinary hospital with access to a full range of diagnostic imaging including high-field MRI, CT, Fluoroscopy, Endoscopy and Ultrasound. Provide the best care to your patients with a state-of-the-art ICU, three operating theatres, integrated RX works, and Smartflow to support patient management. There is already an established surgery service led by a specialist small animal surgeon. We have cultivated a positive, collaborative culture where each team member feels valued and heard.

If you have a passion for teaching, the premises includes dedicated training facilities including wet lab and education centre to train the future generation of veterinary professionals.

The Opportunity

You tell us

We envisage our new teammate to develop a strong internal medicine service and team who will deliver excellent veterinary care and customer service to our wonderful clients. We are the most westerly veterinary specialist centre in Sydney, and therefore have access to a large untapped market of pet owners.

As a specialist, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and treating complex medical conditions in small animals and ensuring they receive the highest quality of care. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the training and development of veterinary staff, including interns and residents.

Feel free to bring your friends - referral bonuses available

Qualifications

About You

A registered specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine, Fellow (ANZCVS) or Diplomate (ACVIM, ECVIM). If you have completed your residency training and preparing for board exams we would love to hear from you.

Good communication skills and a willingness to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders will see you succeed in this role.

Above all, we are looking for someone that is motivated, committed to patient care and growth of this exciting new hospital.
