Description:

Start date: ASAP - Monday to Friday from 8:30am till 4.30pm

As a full time permanent IT Support & Admin Technician, you will assist and support the IT Manager in the day-to-day operations including but not limited to Deskside Support Services, Systems Administration, training for digital technologies in the classroom and maintenance of the classroom IT environment. You will be required to take ownership of technical issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes, with the aim of restoring service to the user as soon as possible.

Your key responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to the following:

Deskside Support Services

Desktop Computing: Responsible for User support and requests using the IT service desk system

Software: Preparing and deploying computer images.

Audio Visual / Communication: Ensure audio visual is setup for events and meetings. Assist with video production assistance, recording and editing.

Support special events (Web Radio, Science Fairs, Open Days etc.). Responsible for digital signage content and schedules and User and guest Wi-Fi connectivity and support

IPad application licensing and deployment.

Systems Administration

User Account and Group Management

Windows Server Active Directory and systems recovery

Enterprise software administration and support; Gmail,Pronote,O365, Eduka and MYOB.

Training for Digital Technologies in the Classroom

Security & Recovery: Adopt, promote, and train Cybersecurity best practice

Training : Deliver training and user inductions to develop the general computing skills of school staff. Develop training videos and screencasts.

Create, maintain and publish relevant support documentation to assist with service delivery and enable users to become more self-sufficient.

Maintenance of the Classroom IT Environment

Computer Projects (Exams for example): Booking devices, preparing, deploying, charging, returning, and accounting

Infrastructure: Bell scheduling, tones and resampling, turnstile software administration and card reading, telephone system movements, changes and documentation

Skills and Experiences:

Required Skills for the position:

Relevant industry or professional qualifications

Strong communication skills. French speaking is a bonus but not mandatory.

Ability to prioritise, manage and perform to meet customer service expectations

Provide orientation to new users of existing technology

Maintain confidentiality

Required Technical Skills:

Demonstrated experience in Desktop support and troubleshooting

Demonstrated ability in the implementation and support of TCP/IP networks

Demonstrated Windows Server, Desktop and Active Directory technical experience

Veeam backup and recovery experience
