Job Opportunity: Sous Chef – Sky Rooftop Bar & Lounge
Sky Rooftop Bar & Lounge is a newly reimagined hospitality destination in the heart of Maroochydore. With panoramic views, elevated cocktails, and a focus on premium dining, we are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team and help deliver a first-class dining experience.
About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic Chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is confident in menu development, and takes pride in delivering consistency and quality. You will be working closely with our management team to create a menu that complements our rooftop bar concept — focusing on small plates, share-style dishes, and modern, seasonal dining.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute a high-quality menu in line with the Sky Rooftop Bar & Lounge brand.
- Maintain the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
- Oversee kitchen operations including stock control, ordering, and supplier relations.
- Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and WHS regulations.
- Collaborate with management to design specials and seasonal offerings.
About You
- Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or bar setting (minimum 3+ years).
- Creative flair for modern cuisine, small plates, and bar-style menus.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- A hands-on approach and ability to work under pressure.
- Understanding of cost control, stock management, and kitchen efficiency.
- Passionate about food trends, innovation, and delivering memorable guest experiences.
