Position: Psychologist Grade 3

Location: Regional Victoria, AU

Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time

Salary: Negotiable

++Relocation support: Intrastate (over 100kms) - up to $2,500, Interstate - up to $5,000, Overseas - up to $8,000

About the Role

Exciting opportunities exist for a skilled clinician to join either the

  • Early Psychosis Team
  • Infant, Child & Youth Mental Health Wellbeing Services
  • Adult Community Mental Health Team
  • Mental Health Advice and Response Services

Our multidisciplinary professionals are from an array of backgrounds and disciplines and work across a range of settings and services including:

  • Adult Mental Health
  • Community Mental Health
  • Acute Adult Inpatient Unit -
  • Aged Persons Mental Health
  • Child and Youth Mental Health

Who Were Looking For

  • Psychologists must have current psychology registration with the Psychology Board of Australia
  • Sound knowledge of principles and practice of psychiatric care
  • Demonstrates competence in completion of a comprehensive assessment of consumers suffering mental illness including mental state examination and risk assessment
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to liaise and negotiate with other staff and agencies
  • Evidence of ability to work with consumers in a family, gender, culture and diversity sensitive manner
  • A sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act (Vic A demonstrated capacity to work autonomously in a community mental health setting
  • To display the ability or understanding of AOD screening and assessment of substance use/withdrawal and the principles of an integrated mental health and AOD treatment approach
