What you'll be doing
  • Demonstrated understanding of the complexities faced by Aboriginal families and communities reflecting the cultural considerations and flexibility of service delivery necessary to provide culturally appropriate services.
  • Demonstrated advanced practice knowledge in providing services to Aboriginal families in a community setting with the ability to provide culturally safe team based services in a family model of care.
  • Demonstrated proficient written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Extensive specialist social work skills and knowledge in related area or broad generalist knowledge, clinical proficiency and ability to work with minimal supervision, and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work / caseload.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development, quality improvement and evidence based practice.
  • Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
