We specialise in bulk haulage and ancillary onsite services, including road construction and maintenance operations, for mining companies in the key resource-producing regions of Western Australia. Our services primarily involve truck haulage across both off-road and on-road (highway) routes, transporting materials from mine sites to port facilities and processing infrastructure.

While our primary commodities are iron ore and gold, our expanded footprint allows us to create new geographical hubs through regional expansion. We aim to acquire new customers in existing geographies, building on our current capabilities, while also retaining and growing our existing customer base.

P&E Total Solutions is expanding and seeking a dedicated HSET Advisor to join our dynamic team in the Goldfields on a 2/2 roster. What You'll Be Doing:

  • Policy & System Management: Assist with development, implementation, and maintenance of HSE policies, procedures, and management systems for transport operations to ensure compliance with company standards and legislation.
  • Risk Management: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, including task-specific risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for transport activities, to identify hazards and implement control measures.
  • Audits & Inspections: Perform site inspections, safety audits, and compliance checks specifically focusing on transport-related safety procedures and practices.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into transport-related incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Training & Support: Provide safety advice, support, training, and toolbox talks to personnel, including operators and maintenance crews, to foster a strong safety culture.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor work practices and site operations to ensure adherence to safety and environmental procedures and standards, ensuring compliance with relevant HSE legislation.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records, compile reports, and record data related to transport safety performance and compliance.
  • Safety Leadership: Provide expert advice and hands-on support to implement HSE improvements and champion safety-first behaviours among transport teams.

What You'll Need:

  • Qualifications: A Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is essential.
  • Experience: Significant experience in the mining or heavy transport industry is crucial.
  • Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Knowledge: A good working knowledge of relevant WHS legislation and safety management systems is necessary.
