About the role

Alfa Bakehouse is seeking a experienced Front of House professional to join our team in Yarraville. As a cafe, we are looking for an individual who will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment for our guests. This is a full-time position, 5.30am to 2.00pm offering an opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing business.

What you'll be doing

  1. Providing friendly and efficient counter service, taking customer orders and processing payments
  2. Ensuring a clean, tidy and well-stocked service area at all times
  3. Assisting the kitchen team with food preparation tasks as needed
  4. Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction through prompt and attentive service
  5. Communicating with the wider team to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience
  6. Adhering to all health, safety and hygiene standards

What we're looking for

  1. Previous experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within the hospitality or retail industry
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service
  3. Reliable, punctual and well-presented with a positive attitude
  4. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure
  5. A keen eye for detail and the ability to multi-task effectively
  6. A genuine passion for food and providing a great customer experience
