Construction Draftsman

Experience and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (AutoCAD Certification preferred).

• A relevant diploma or degree in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field is advantageous.

• Experience in drafting, e.g. construction, engineering, architecture.

• Strong understanding of technical drawing principles, including dimensioning, scaling, and tolerances.

• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and high-quality drawings.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with different departments.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.

• Experience with 3D modelling software (e.g., Revit, SolidWorks) is a plus.

• Familiarity with other CAD software or BIM tools is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating House Designs: Develop unique house plans that align with client requirements and industry standards.

• Collaborating with the Project Engineer: Work closely with the engineer/s to ensure all designs meet the industry standards.

• Revising Drawings: Modify designs as required based on client feedback, project updates, and regulatory requirements.

• Ensuring Compliance: Verify that all house designs adhere to local building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.

• Maintaining Records: Maintain detailed and accurate records of design revisions and finalised plans for future reference and documentation.

• Other: Perform additional tasks as assigned to support project goals and ensure the successful delivery of designs.
