About Claro Disability Services:
We're all about complex care for amazing people with physical disabilities and health needs. We believe everyone deserves dignity, choice, and real-life joy. Our way is person-centered, collaborative, and practical because small, thoughtful actions make big moments.
What makes this role exciting
- You'll work with people who have big, real world needs, from mobility and medical care to daily routines, communication, and fun activities.
- Every client is a unique story. You'll tailor supports to their goals, vibes, routines, values, and culture.
- You'll team up with families, medical professionals, and other support workers to keep everything running smoothly.
- Shifts flexible with your day, and you'll build genuine relationships, not just checklists
What you'll do (*tailored to each client as required*)
- Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), get the know them and understanding of goals and routines.
- Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices (wheelchairs, aids, etc.) as outlined in the plan
- Medical supports: Watch for changes, follow med/clinical plans, and liaise with the care team if things shift.
- Social time and participation: Bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.
- Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible.
- Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being
What are the hours?
- Monday 5pm-8pm
- Tuesday 4pm-8pm
- Wednesday 5pm-7pm
- Friday 5pm-8pm
Who we're looking for
- A person-centered, warm, patient, and genuinely caring soul.
- Experience with behaviours of concern (someone who doesn't get easily rattled)
- Interest or experience in complex care, disability, and health nuances.
- Great communicator: listens well, reads cues, and adapts to different styles.
- Reliable and professional, with good notetaking and teamwork.
- Flexible and adaptable; comfortable with changing needs and shifts.
- Values fit: Bring Energy, Nurture and Care, Act with Integrity, Listen and Connect in action.
- Optional but nice: Manual handling, epilepsy management, or disability-support training.
What you'll get (the good stuff)
- Paid induction and training when you start
- Paid travel between client shifts (minimum distance applies)
- Real-impact, person-centered work that's meaningful day-to-day.
- Employee referral bonus to the value of $300
- Tailored onboarding for each client and ongoing support from a clinical team.
- Flexible scheduling to fit your life while serving clients well.
- A kind, collaborative team that values your voice and growth.
- Competitive pay and clear paths to deepen your skills and roles.
- A workplace that lives our values every day, in every interaction.
- Employee of the month recognition
- Flare workplace benefits
We are a values-led organisation, we bring energy, act with integrity, nurture and care and we listen and connect. Our values demonstrate our commitment to our people, customers, and community, and define who we are, what we do, and how we do it. When we come together, we shine.
