About the Role

This position will be based at Concord Hospital as part of the Sydney Local Health District Podiatry Department.

This role provides meaningful clinical leadership and compassionate service delivery in the outpatient High Risk Foot Service and inpatient settings, primarily at Concord Hospital.

You will play a key role in supporting the senior clinical team within the SLHD Podiatry services, helping to enhance patient care while supporting staff mentoring and growth. You'll also be involved in service development, research, health professional education, and implementing projects that align with the goals of the District and SLHD Podiatry.

The selected candidate will primarily work within the welcoming environment of the Concord Hospital High Risk Foot Service outpatient clinic, caring for inpatients on the wards with foot conditions. This role is vital in ensuring smooth care for people with foot issues, including those with diabetes-related foot complications, bridging the gap between hospital and community care, and genuinely making a difference in their health journey.

Ideal Candidate

  • Must hold qualifications recognised for registration with the Podiatry Board and hold general registration to practice with the Podiatry Board as part of the Australian Practitioner Regulatory Authority with experience at Level 2 or higher.
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of Podiatry with focus on management of orthopaedic and rheumatologic problems but with high levels of competence in other areas such as management of people with diabetes and older people.
