About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our People and Culture team within our Practice Support Group division, which is the hub of the firm, assisting all other divisions to ensure they function at optimal performance. Reporting to our Head of People, you will be an integral member of our passionate, supportive and exuberant team, working collaboratively to provide advice and support to two of our divisions.
As our People and Culture Coordinator you will support the People & Culture team by coordinating recruitment, onboarding, learning programs, HRIS implementation and HR administration. This role ensures smooth processes for early career talent, staff development, and general HR operations, contributing to a positive employee experience and compliance with firm policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Early Careers recruitment with event logistics, candidate interviews, offers, onboarding and associated documentation
- Support induction programs and maintain accurate applicant records
- Liaise with payroll and IT for onboarding/offboarding processes
- Prepare and manage new starter and exit documentation
- Generate employment contracts and probation letters
- Develop and maintain learning materials and manage the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Monitor and report on training effectiveness and compliance
- Support employees with resources for professional development
- Coordination of the CA Program
- Maintain accurate employee records and databases, and prepare reports, and presentations
- Assist with updating policies, procedures, and intranet pages
- Run monthly reports and reconcile staff movements
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive employee information
- Deliver high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders and adapt to changing priorities
- Provide general administrative support to the People & Culture team and assist with projects as required
Skills and experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in HR, Business, or related field
- Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role
- Strong reporting, data management, and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Initiative, problem-solving ability, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-centric mindset and commitment to high-quality service
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and maintain confidentiality
