Carpet Layer

About the Role:

International Floorcoverings Australia seeking a skilled Carpet Layer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining carpets in residential and commercial properties, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and lay carpets according to specifications.
• Prepare subfloors and surfaces for installation.
• Trim, join, and secure carpets to ensure a professional finish.
• Repair or replace worn or damaged carpets as required.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Provide excellent customer service on-site.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Carpet Layer or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of carpet materials, adhesives, and installation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret installation plans.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials.
• Current driver's license (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $78,000.00 per year
