The Opportunity

We're seeking a motivated and safety-focused Track Protection Officer (TPO) to join our team at Yurra on a full-time basis, commencing November 23rd, 2025.

Please note: Applications will only be considered from candidates who meet the required criteria.

Reporting to the Safeworking Supervisor, you will be responsible for implementing safeworking protection for track workers and coordinating safe rail operations across Yurra.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Rio Tinto Track Protection Officer qualifications
  • Available to commence on November 23rd, 2025
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
  • HR Licence and operator tickets are highly desirable but not essential

Key Responsibilities


• Set up and manage appropriate track protection authorities


• Communicate effectively with the Train Controller and Site Supervisor


• Monitor and enforce safeworking rules in line with operational requirements


• Implement resolution strategies when required


• Act decisively and uphold safeworking standards at all times


• Maintain current safeworking knowledge in accordance with operating rules
