An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and energic Finance Officer to join a well-established IT Managed Services provider in the Canberra Region. You will be the finance operations custodian, a superstar in keeping our daily systems and process upheld across the business. You are savvy in compliance and keep us on track.

Within this role, allocated tasks with vary day to day, and will include, but not be limited to:

  • Accounts receivable, invoice coding, processing payments, agreement, and month-end billing for clients in accordance with their signed agreements.
  • Prepare and process weekly payroll.
  • Processing superannuation contributions.
  • Reconcile bank accounts.
  • Address client account enquiries.
  • Creating Service Agreements for clients in all appropriate systems.
  • Reconcile all corporate credit cards, process in XERO and ensure all charges conform to company policies.
  • Processing end-of-month including the reconciliation of General Ledger accounts, manual journals and making sure all invoices and purchase orders are entered and coded correctly.
  • Assist in the preparation of BAS, PAYG, TPAR and any other obligations.
  • Preparing data and audit requests.
  • Ad-hoc finance projects.
  • Updating of finance reports including but not limited to Cashflow and Forecasting.
  • Update team policies and procedures with direction from the Finance Controller.
  • Conduct regular reviews of office procedures to ensure efficient systems and practices are implemented and opportunities for continuous improvements are recognised and acted upon.

Ideally you will have:

  • Relevant Tertiary or CIT qualification in Finance and Accounting, with a minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Excel Intermediate to Advanced skills
  • Experience building and maintaining forecasts and cashflow
  • Fundamentals of Business Tax
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
