Tax Accountant

Norwood Accounting is a trusted local accounting firm based in Nowra, providing professional accounting, taxation, auditing and business advisory services to all types of entities. Our friendly team prides itself on delivering exceptional client service in a welcoming and professional environment.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated tax accountant to join our growing team.

We are offering either a part-time or full-time opportunity for the right candidate. Flexible working arrangements can be negotiated.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Preparing income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies
  • Preparing financial statements for business entities
  • Prepare BAS and IAS
  • Assist clients with BAS, GST, and payroll compliance
  • Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients
  • Support senior accountants and partners
  • Audit support

The successful candidate should have:

  • Relevant university degree qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years in a public accounting firm
  • Sound knowledge of the Australian income tax legislation
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast passed environment and meet deadlines
