About The Role
The Senior Tester is responsible for testing market systems to ensure that they have the required functionality, reliability, security and flexibility as part of the market systems delivery projects. The role provides timely, broad, detailed and effective test plans for the projects. The Senior Tester ensures creative solutions of test automation and test process improvements are delivered to allow the maximum of testing to be applied with the minimum of resources.

What You Will Be Doing

• Analysis of requirements and specifications to develop Requirements Traceability Matrix, Test objectives and test scenarios that give coverage over functionality, business service levels, network, security and platform issues in the Market systems. Execution of the test plans and adherence to test standards.
• Ensuring the testing of Market systems can respond quickly and efficiently to changing requirements by the high standard of test plans and documentation.
• Creating efficient test data to establish baseline and reusability of the same data set.
• Designing and delivering test automation processes associated with testing to maximise the test efficiency.
• Managing, training and supervising contractor project test resources to meet project objectives activities during UAT and co-ordination during Software
• Deployment phases.
• Becoming the test expert on portions of Market Systems to provide long term testing ability for support and development of this key market component, as well as learning the key market business processes so as to provide a reference point
• Dealing with a multiplicity of technologies and unclear and/or unfamiliar specifications

What You Will Bring To The Role

• A solid understanding of the principles and practices associated with the testing of information technology projects.
• Proven testing experience in Functional, System integration, Regression and E2E testing
• Testing Web based, Client server applications and Batch applications.
• API testing – SOAP & Restful
• Knowledge of JSON, XML and Swagger files
• Ability to write stubs for testing purposes if necessary
• Excellent Excel skills to solve complex problems with large amount of data (highly desirable)
