Project Engineer

- Variety across design, QA/QC, estimating and project delivery
- Close-knit team | Strong mentorship and flexibility
- Defence, mining and transport projects | Global business backing
Engineered solutions for the future. Build, innovate, and create with a team shaping critical industries.
Looking to take your mechanical or manufacturing engineering skills beyond the desk?
Imagine seeing the components you've designed being built, tested, and delivered to defence, mining and transport projects across Australia, and knowing you helped make it happen.
Join a long-standing Australian manufacturer where engineering meets real-world application.
You'll be part of a small, collaborative team where ideas turn into solutions and your work directly impacts the success of complex, high-value infrastructure.
About The Opportunity
You'll step into a hands-on engineering role where no two days look the same.
One morning you might be refining a design in SolidWorks: the next, you're out on the floor with production, testing materials or solving a manufacturing challenge alongside the team.
You'll turn customer documentation into buildable, cost-effective designs, working closely with estimating, R&D and the BD Manager to bring ideas to life.
From tender through to testing, you'll see your work take shape, built, assembled, and delivered to projects that matter.
It's a role made for engineers who like to stay close to the action.
Where design meets production, and problem-solving happens shoulder to shoulder with the people making it happen.
You'll join a global business that still feels local, a close-knit team backed by international reach and genuine opportunities to grow.
The kind of place where mentorship happens naturally, annual reviews actually mean something, and development is encouraged every step of the way.
If you like seeing how things work. And making them work better. You'll fit right in here.
About You
You're practical, detail-focused, and enjoy watching designs come to life in a live manufacturing environment.
You'll bring around four years' experience in an engineering or manufacturing setting, ideally within mechanical, industrial, or composite materials.
You understand how things go together, how to plan around production schedules, and how to spot issues before they reach the floor.
You're confident using SolidWorks and Microsoft tools, and comfortable reviewing documentation, drawings, and specifications.
You enjoy collaborating across engineering, estimating and production teams, and take pride in delivering accurate, efficient, build-ready outcomes.
Defence, mining or transport project experience is a bonus, as is exposure to composites or fibreglass manufacturing, but a strong mechanical foundation and the right attitude matter most.
About The Business
This Australian manufacturer delivers engineered solutions across transport, mining, and defence, bringing design, production, and testing together under one roof.
You'll join a small, close-knit engineering group within a wider on-site team that supports each other, shares a laugh, and gets the job done.
Expect flexibility, global project exposure, and room to grow- with professional development reimbursements, study leave, bonus opportunities, and travel opportunities across international sites.
