The RoleThis is a midlevel Engineering role:

  • Design and build robust, maintainable Android applications that deliver tangible value.
  • Follow best practices to write high-quality code, including unit tests for edge cases, usability, and reliability.
  • Develop new features and optimise existing functionality from concept to production, contributing across all phases of the SDLC.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UI designers, platform leads, and engineers in a cross-functional, agile team.
  • Promote a culture of automated testing and high code quality.
  • Continuously improve the product, developer tools, and team productivity

*Key Skills/Experience*

  • Hands on experience as an Android Engineer, delivering native Android applications and owning the code throughout the full mobile SDLC, from concept to production.
  • Strong expertise in the Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines.
  • Proven ability to architect complex Android solutions, with solid experience in MVVM.
  • Deep understanding of good API design for mobile applications, along with experience writing and maintaining unit and UI tests.
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams.
